Ben Heide once again coming in First Place at the Tiger Direct Charity PC Build Contest.

With Ben Heide’s win, $10,000 will be given to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

A yearly tradition at CES is the TigerDirect Build a PC for Charity event where members from the press are given the opportunity to see who can build a PC the fastest with all the computers that are built going to charity as well as a handsome check for the winners charity of choice. Last year (2013) our very own Benjamin Heide took home first place and won $10,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital as well as a full system that was also donated.

At this years event, BCCHardware’s Benjamin Heide was able to successfully retain his title and has won another $10,000 which will be donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, along with the full system that he built during the race. Ben’s winning time for 2014 was a blazing 6 minutes and 13 seconds.

Everyone here at BCCHardware would like to send a big thanks out to TigerDirect for holding this event every year and all of the sponsors who pitched into make this possible. Every year many worthy charities get high quality systems and prize money thanks to this event and we have seen this first-hand at the Alberta Children’s Hospital over the years and are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this event.
